What is difference between consumer and customer ?

Consumer and customer are two term is confusing . can any one help me to find the exact difference between this two.

Consumer is the person who buy th product for its personal use.The customer is the person who buy the product either to use or to resale.In service sector peoples are treated are customer.

cunsumer who uses the goods. He may buy or may not be. But Customer is realated to selling of product. He can buy or sale productds or goods. Like this case a dealer is not using the product but buying productes from distrubutor. So he is a customer not a consumer but the enduser who buys the product for his/ her user he/she is a consumer.
