Quality Improvement Program (QIP) was launched by the Government of India
in the year 1970, to upgrade the expertise and capabilities of the faculty
members of the engineering institutions in the country. it is now being
implemented and monitored by the All India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE - A Statutory Body of the Government of India). Admission procedure 1. Admission through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Admission to all Undergraduate Programmes (B .Tech.) are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).. 2. Cultural Exchange Fellowship Programme this
programme is administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations,
Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR
to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria
for admission under foreign nationals. 3. Casual Studentship A
student who is registered for an Engineering/Technology degree in a recognized
Institute/University in India or abroad is eligible for being considered
as a casual student at IIT Delhi. He/she should be officially sponsored
by the Institute/University where he/she is studying. Such a studentship
is granted to carry out research or other academic facilities or for attending
